Horrified does not begin to describe my feelings after viewing the CBS TV movie “Into Thin Air.” The story was excellent and Ellen Burstyn’s portrayal of a woman struggling to find her missing son was very moving. However, the murder scene close to the film’s end was far too graphic. Is it really necessary to vividly show a young man being viciously stabbed to death and then thrown into the rapids?
