S. African Police Kill 4 Blacks

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa —
Police said today that they shot and killed four blacks and wounded eight others in anti-apartheid rioting that spread to a farming center south of Johannesburg.
Officials said that a policeman shot and killed a black who was throwing a gasoline bomb at a home in a black township and that police shot and killed three men among crowds throwing stones at the officers. Eight other blacks were wounded, they said.
