Rear Adm. Demars Named for Rank of Vice Admiral

WASHINGTON —
President Reagan has nominated Rear Adm. Bruce Demars for promotion to vice admiral and new assignment as the deputy chief of naval operations for submarine warfare, the Pentagon said Monday. Demars, 50, is currently the assistant deputy chief for submarine warfare.
