Synbiotics Loses $418,259 as Contract Activities Dip

Synbiotics Corp. on Tuesday reported a net loss of $418,259 for the second quarter ended Sept. 30, the result of a planned drop in contract activities with Miles Laboratories in conjunction with an increased emphasis on proprietary products.
The loss in last year’s second quarter was $218,886. Revenues in the period dropped about 43% to $147,426.
For the six months, the San Diego-based maker of monoclonal antibodies reported a loss of $814,128 on revenues of $322,259. In the comparable period last year, the company reported a loss of $437,840 on revenues of $447,849.
