Irvine-based American Datacom has appointed Elvin Rose executive vice president and chief operating officer. He had been executive vice president and chief operating officer for Able Computer in Costa Mesa for 3 1/2 years before joining American Datacom. Rose, 49, fills a new position at the company, which designs, manufactures and distributes business computers and office automation systems.
