Massachusetts Archives Center Opens in Boston

BOSTON —
A new $19-million state facility, housing documents from as long ago as the Salem witchcraft trials in 1692, was opened Tuesday.
The 102,000-square-foot Massachusetts Archives, Commonwealth Museum and State Records Center includes a computerized alarm system, 24-hour security and climate-controlled “treasure” display cases.
