Bernard J. Jacoupy, founder of Bernard’s, the French restaurant located in the Biltmore hotel in downtown Los Angeles, was named president of Westgroup Biltmore Inc. The appointment is effective immediately.
Westgroup Biltmore is a newly created unit of Los Angeles-based Westgroup Hotels Inc., which purchased the the landmark hotel a year ago.
Jacoupy, who turns 39 today, had served as vice president-food and beverage and general manager of the Biltmore. He opened Bernard’s in 1977.
