Martinez Column on Nude Party

Share

Your columnist Al Martinez is a funny writer. I could tell you a funny story about Al Martinez and his sexual idiosyncrasies. It would be funny, but it wouldn’t be true, because I don’t know any more about Al Martinez than he knows about me.

His Oct. 31 column about the clothing-optional party in Sunland is a case in point. The L.A. Times is the only newspaper around that did not interview me about my concerns involving the incident.

If the L.A. Times had bothered to call, I would have told you what all the other newspapers found out--that my sole concern was keeping commercial uses out of a unique residential community. I also told the reporters that nudity and sex may make good copy, but they are not involved in my resolve to preserve the residential neighborhood.

Al Martinez proved my point--he snickered about the nudity but, instead of looking in the mirror, he blamed me.
