Farm Woes May Make Iowa Lottery a Loser

DES MOINES —
Iowa lottery officials said Thursday they expect to sell 25 million fewer tickets than anticipated this year because of the struggling farm economy.
“Iowa’s economy is not doing the best,” said Steve King, chief financial officer of the lottery. “Unfortunately, lottery ticket sales have reflected that.”
