Chrysler signed a deal to acquire a B of A unit.

Chrysler Financial and BankAmerica reached final agreement on the previously reported sale of B of A’s FinanceAmerica subsidiary. The bank will realize a $216-million pretax gain on the $405-million transaction. FinanceAmerica, headquartered in Allentown, Pa., engages in direct consumer lending, corporate financing and loans to small businesses.
