Work Under Way on $5-Million Pilkington Plant

Construction is under way on a $5-million, 18,000-square-foot factory for Pilkington Electro Optics Inc., at 1231 Victoria St., Costa Mesa.

The research and manufacturing facility was designed by Hallenbeck-Chamarro & Associates of San Diego and will serve the Electro-Optics, Avionics, Space & Defense sub-system markets.

The Irvine office of Nielsen Construction Co. of San Diego will serve as construction manager and general contractor.
