The reported that agreements have been reached with Aetna Casualty & Surety and Rocky Mountain International Insurance Ltd., settling Manville’s insurance disputes with both. The terms of the Aetna settlement agreement provide for payment by Aetna of $14.3 million in three installments. The first installment is due on Dec. 15, 1986. Rocky Mountain International Insurance will pay $14.27 million starting as soon as Manville draws up a reorganization plan in its Chapter 11 federal bankruptcy court proceedings in New York.
