Four more banks were closed by state officials.
Two banks in Kansas and one each in Missouri and Oklahoma have been ordered closed by state banking officials, pushing the number of failed banking institutions in the United States to 105 this year. The banks closed in Kansas were the Decatur County National Bank of Oberlin and the Farmers and Merchants State Bank of Rush County in LaCrosse. In Missouri, the Clarksdale Bank of Clarksdale was closed and in Oklahoma the Dill State Bank in Dill City was closed.
