TOKYO —
A Northwest Orient Airline’s jumbo jet bound from Chicago to Tokyo with 333 people aboard ran low on fuel Sunday and made an unscheduled landing for refueling on Japan’s northernmost island of Hokkaido, a Transport Ministry official said.
