A passenger using a Sikh name checked in for a Canadian flight connecting with the Air-India jet that plunged into the Atlantic last June, a Canadian investigator said during a hearing into the crash that killed all 329 people aboard. Indian lawyers at the New Delhi hearing said the man, identified as M. Singh, checked baggage but did not board the CP Air flight. After the crash off the Irish coast, callers claiming to represent Sikh extremists said a bomb had beeen planted aboard the Air-India flight.
