5 Killed as Blast Levels Glasgow Apartment House

GLASGOW, Scotland —
An explosion believed caused by a gas leak destroyed a two-story apartment building Friday and killed at least five people, including two children, police said.
The 8 a.m. blast demolished the building occupied by 11 people in four apartments in the Rutherglen residential district. Four people were hospitalized after being pulled from the wreckage, one of them in serious condition.
