Voter Follow-Up Urged by Trustee
As a newly elected member of the ABC Unified School District Board of Education, I want to thank the ABC district voters for their expression of confidence.
But don’t stop now--come to school board meetings, bring your friends and neighbors, and speak up on issues important to our children. Make sure your representatives know what is needed and that we follow through to make it happen.
Let’s have the spirit of California’s “Brown Act” be our touchstone: “The people of this state do not yield their sovereignty to the agencies which serve them . . . The people insist on remaining informed so that they may retain control over the instruments they have created” (Calif. Govt. Code Section 54950).
