Soviet world champion Igor Schelesovsky won the men’s 1,000-meter sprint and East Germany’s Christa Rothenburger repeated in the women’s 500 meters in World Cup speed skating at West Berlin.
Soviet or East German skaters won every sprint race in the two-day meet.
