Egypt’s Action Against Hijackers
I am appalled at the State Department’s coldblooded approach to the latest hijacking and its subsequent massacre of innocent persons.
What was gained by the deaths of three hijackers who seem quite prepared to die in any event?
I heard Secretary of State George P. Shultz’s inhumane assessment. He seems to think that the safety of passengers is of secondary importance. The killing of the hijackers will neither stop the practice nor solve the cause of hijackings.
My solution is to boycott plane travel until we can be given some assurance that we won’t be “written off” as necessary sacrifices to Washington’s muddled thinking. Stay off the planes!
