Share prices fell 20% to 30% on the Singapore Stock Exchange, with only a few contracts made in early trading today. The opening came after a three-day suspension following the virtual collapse of Pan-Electric Industries Ltd., a major industrial conglomerate. On the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, trading was cautious as a wave of selling activity emerged. The spectators gallery at the Singapore exchange was crowded with anxious investors, some using binoculars to follow the downward price spiral on the trading room board.
