Pasadena : PCC Accreditation

Share

Pasadena City College has completed the second phase of a three-part accreditation examination. The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges ended its on-site review of PCC last month. The commission chairman, Glenn P. Smith of the San Mateo County Community College District, praised PCC for its commitment to academic excellence. Accreditation, which usually is carried out every 10 years, begins with a college’s self-examination, which was completed earlier this year. The commission’s conclusions will be written in a report that will be presented for final approval to the state Office of the Chancellor of Community Colleges.
