San Diego Gas & Electric last week dedicated a $188.5-million geothermal power plant in Heber, Calif. SDG&E; is managing the plant, which is sponsored by SDG&E;, several other utilities and oil companies, and state and federal government energy agencies. The plant is expected to generate 24 megawatts of electricity, enough power to meet the energy needs of 45,000 people.

The utility is also offering $35 million in tax-exempt pollution control bonds. The 22-year bonds will be issued in denominations of $5,000 with interest payable in February and August.

Also, SDG&E; has declared a 56-cent-per-share quarterly dividend on its common stock, payable Jan. 15, 1986, to shareholders of record Dec. 20, 1985.
