N. America Snow Cover Sets Record for November

WASHINGTON —
Snow covered a greater area of the Northern Hemisphere last month than in any previous November since the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration began keeping track with satellites in 1966, the agency said Tuesday.
Snow covered 6 million square miles of North America, topping the 5.1 million record set in November, 1973, the agency said.
