Commencement Slated Saturday
Pepperdine University will confer bachelor’s and master’s degrees on nearly 500 students in commencement ceremonies Saturday.
Seaver College, Pepperdine’s undergraduate school, will present diplomas at 10:30 a.m. in Firestone Fieldhouse on the Malibu campus, where Gordon P. Getty, composer and the principal trustee of the J. Paul Getty Museum, will be commencement speaker.
He will receive an honorary degree, as will Paul Ziffren, attorney and chairman of the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee.
The School of Business and Management will hold graduation exercises at 2:30 p.m. in Firestone Fieldhouse, with Richard K. Eamer, chief executive officer and chairman of National Medical Enterprises, as speaker.
He also will receive an honorary degree, and Barney Klinger will be honored as the school’s Distinguisher Alumnus.
