VALENTI IS HONORED

Jack Valenti has been named the recipient of the 1986 Champion of Liberty Award by the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith, it was announced Wednesday.

The presentation gala will be held Jan. 13 at the Sheraton Premiere Hotel. The event is also being staged as a tribute to Valenti upon his 20th anniversary as president and chief executive officer of the Motion Picture Assn. of America, starting a yearlong commemoration of his service to the motion- picture industry.
