Corozan Aquino opened her campaign for president of the Philippines with a vow to obtain justice for her slain husband and “all the victims” of President Ferdinand E. Marcos. She told a cheering crowd in Batangas: “I will go to all corners of the Philippines to appeal to the people because only you can give me the justice I’m looking for.” She blames Marcos for the assassination of her husband, Benigno S. Aquino Jr.
