The wife and two sons of Herman (Rock) Kreutzer on Friday were placed on three years’ probation and received other penalties for their roles in the shooting death of Kreutzer’s son-in-law at the Big Oak Ranch.
San Diego Superior Court Judge J. Perry Langford sentenced Jerome Kreutzer, 28, of La Mesa to six months in County Jail, to begin Jan. 2, and a $1,500 fine. He pleaded guilty Sept. 19 to voluntary manslaughter.
Kurt Kreutzer, 20, was ordered to spend 90 days in a work furlough program in which he will check into a jail at night.
Lynne Kreutzer, 35, was ordered to perform 200 hours of volunteer work by Aug. 15. Both Kurt and Lynne Kreutzer pleaded guilty to accessory charges, which involved lying to authorities about the April 11, 1984, murder.
The sentences come after Rock Kreutzer was given 17 years to life in prison after a Superior Court jury found him guilty of second-degree murder in the shooting.
