Santa Ana : Police Moving to New Southwest Substation
Police officers serving the southwest area of the city will move into new offices Wednesday in an effort to improve their accessibility and increase the number of people using the station.
Chief Raymond C. Davis will officially open the station, at 1400 W. McFadden Ave., Building No. 3, at 11 a.m. The old station was located inside the Corbin Community Center at 2115 W. McFadden.
“We’re hoping this will increase the foot traffic,” said police spokeswoman Maureen Thomas. “The station will be right on the street.”
Residents of the area can phone or walk into the substation--or any of the other three substations in the city--to file crime reports or get statistics on crime in their area.
