Lions Kill Park Guard

HLUHLUWE, South Africa —
A game park guard fleeing on horseback from charging white rhinos was thrown to the ground when his frightened horse reared, and he was attacked and killed by a pride of lions, the Natal Parks Board said Tuesday. Rangers killed seven of the lions after the attack Saturday on guard Mhlapheki Hlabisa.
