Hermosa Beach : Additional Cuts Approved
In the midst of a continuing budget crisis, the City Council this week approved $87,500 in cuts in the city’s general fund that include the elimination of the city’s final newsletter for 1985 and a 50% reduction in money for a new child-abuse program.
The city will still be about $150,000 short of budget projections, despite the cuts approved this week, coupled with reductions in the Police Department and other cost-cutting measures approved last month, according to City Manager Gregory Meyer.
