Each Alaskan Receives $404 From Oil Funds

JUNEAU, Alaska —
The state has nearly completed mailing $404 checks to 511,000 men, women and children who are permanent residents of Alaska and beneficiaries of the North Shore oil boom.
Each year for the last four years, the state has divided the interest from its oil revenue savings account among its citizens.
With Wednesday’s mailing, $210 million has been distributed to permanent residents.
