Cleveland Pastor to Succeed Kilgore
The Rev. Otis Moss Jr. of Cleveland, named as one of 15 outstanding black preachers in America by Ebony magazine last year, has accepted the call of Second Baptist Church in Los Angeles to succeed retiring Senior Pastor Thomas Kilgore.
Moss, 50, will assume the ministerial duties at the 1,600-member congregation on Jan. 1. Kilgore and the church have long been prominent in civil rights concerns and public issues.
