Bishops Plan Mass With Inmates
In keeping with the Christmas spirit, the Most Rev. William R. Johnson, bishop of Orange, will celebrate Mass Christmas morning at 9 a.m. with inmates at the Orange County Jail. In conjunction with the Christmas Day service, a 9 a.m. Mass will be held Dec. 29 at the women’s jail in Santa Ana by the Most Rev. John T. Steinbock, auxiliary bishop of Orange.
This is the ninth year that Johnson has celebrated Mass with the inmates. He will be accompanied by Father John Urell and a choir of seminarians studying for the Roman Catholic priesthood.
