Food Bank Receives a Grant of $10,000
The Community Food Resources Foodbank of Los Angeles has received a $10,000 grant from the Santa Fe Southern Pacific Foundation.
Executive director Doris Bloch said the grant will be used to reduce the operating expense of monthly distribution of an estimated 1.5 million pounds of food to 275 charities assisting more than 400,000 people.
“It comes to us at a time when increased support from the private sector makes a big difference in our ability to continue and expand our efforts,” she added.
