Eastman Kodak said it will buy a Berkeley firm.

Kodak said it plans to buy Cyclotomics, a developer of computer error-detection systems, for an undisclosed price. Cyclotomics, founded in 1973, projects 1986 sales of $4 million and is a Kodak supplier. The Rochester, N.Y., firm said it plans to operate Cyclotomics as a wholly owned subsidiary that will work on computer projects that Kodak is developing for government applications.
