A Santa Barbara jury trying to decide whether R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. is liable for the death of a chain smoker is scheduled to resume deliberations today. In a trial closely monitored by the $60-billion-a-year tobacco industry, the family of John Galbraith contended that R. J. Reynolds is responsible for Galbraith's 1982 death because it failed to adequately warn him of the dangers of their products.
