Health Care Property Investors Inc., a Costa Mesa real estate investment trust, said last week it has purchased six long-term health care facilities for $20.1 million and leased them back to the seller, Columbia Corp. of Nashville, Tenn. Health Care and Columbia also will close soon on the trust’s acquisition of a seventh Columbia nursing home in Delaware Park, Ohio, for about $3 million, the companies said. The trust, which started business May 30 with the sale of $96-million worth of stock, will own directly or through joint ventures 31 properties. The total investment value is more than $140 million.
