Chair Found in Storage Belonged to Louis XVI

NEW YORK —
A gilded chair made for Louis XVI and once owned by Marie Antoinette has been discovered in the collection of the New York Historical Society, museum officials said Monday.
The chair was found in a museum warehouse by Francie Downing, a consultant, who called the discovery “of great importance both artistically and historically.”
