Jacuzzi Noise
I sympathize with all the people complaining about the gardener’s leaf-blowing machines causing noise pollution. Noise does get on one’s nerves and causes people to become irritable. However, the amount of time these machines create noise is very brief and occurs only about once a week.
My complaint is against the wizards in the Department of Building and Safety who say it is legal to place a Jacuzzi motor in a side yard, as long as it is five feet from the property. I take it the mental giants who dreamed up this legality do not live next door to a Jacuzzi owner.
One’s home should be a haven of peace away from the din of the world. I have no peace in my home with this motor grinding away along the side of my house for 8-13 hours a day, sometimes way into the night. My elementary-school-aged children can neither study nor sleep with this noise.
Motors of any kind should be restricted to a property owner’s backyard.
