A single-engine Cessna airplane from Southern California that was carrying six people to a skiing vacation crashed on approach to Salt Lake City International Airport, killing everyone on board, authorities said. The plane’s pilot, whose name was not released, had filed a flight plan from Brackett Field in La Verne, near Pomona, to Salt Lake City, according to Utah police. The names of the other dead also were not released, pending notification of next of kin.
