Gulf Canada announced a major oil discovery.

The company said the discovery of oil at one of its Beaufort Sea wells was in amounts that could make it one of the most productive wells drilled there. The company said it was too early to estimate the total reserves at the Amauligak well, but it was “probably well in excess of the 400 million barrels we talked about previously.”
