The Japanese auto maker cited the weakening of the dollar against the Japanese yen for the action, which averages $269 per car. The increases will be effective Jan. 3 on models sold as of New Year’s Day, the company said. Honda, Nissan and Mazda have also announced price increases of 4% or more on their cars.
