McCallum, Vellie Lead UCSD Women

Chris McCallum scored 18 points and Shelli Vellie added 14 as UC San Diego beat Western State (Colorado), 63-58, in overtime in nonconference women’s basketball action Saturday night at Triton Pavilion.

The two teams were tied, 56-56, after regulation play, but the Tritons (3-7) outscored Western State, 7-2, in overtime.
