Pan Am Corp. promoted Russell M. Barnes to president of its Pan Am World Services Inc. subsidiary, which provides management and technical assistance to various aviation, aerospace and government projects. He had been senior vice president and chief operating officer of the Cocoa Beach, Fla., unit.

Separately, Pan Am named R. A. McKinnon executive vice president-marketing and planning at Pan American World Airways.
