Wente plans to buy Stony Bridge winery.

Carolyn Wente of the family that owns Wente Bros. said the Livermore-based winery will buy all or part of Stony Ridge from a ComputerLand subsidiary. Stony Ridge, which occupies 590 acres in nearby Pleasanton, in Alameda County, closed a year ago due to mounting debts. Terms were not announced.
