Raiders Top NFL Salary List; Rams 17th, Bears 24th

The Raiders, who are out of the playoffs, have the highest average salary in the National Football League, and the Miami Dolphins, still in the playoffs, are among the lowest-paid teams in the league, according to the NFL Players Assn.

The Raiders’ average salary is $237,000, which includes signing, roster and reporting bonuses. The Dolphins’ average salary of $156,000 ranks 27th among the 28 teams.

The next-highest team behind the Raiders is the New Orleans Saints, with an average salary of $217,000. Among the remaining teams in the NFL playoffs, only the New England Patriots rank in the top half. The Patriots’ average salary is $214,000, third-best in the league.

The Rams ranked 17th with an average salary of $184,000. Their opponent in the NFC championship game, the Chicago Bears, is 24th in the league with an average salary of $171,000.

Denver is the lowest-paid team, with players receiving an average of $132,000.
