Share

Want to spend next year working for the California Senate?

The California State Senate Fellowship Program allows 12 college graduates to join the Senate staff for a year beginning in November, 1986.

Those selected can assist senators with a broad range of public policy issues, including performing legislative research, bill analysis and constituent casework.

Although the program usually includes recent college graduates, working adults who want to take a mid-career break can be accepted as well.

Each fellow receives a stipend of $1,250 a month, health and dental benefits and six graduate credits from California State University, Sacramento.

In addition to working for state senators, all 12 fellows participate in seminars throughout the year with legislators, senior staff members, journalists, lobbyists and administration officials.

Applications for the Senate Fellowship Program are now available from state Sen. Ed Royce’s office, 116 N. Raymond Ave., Suite 211, Anaheim 92801.

The deadline for applications is Feb. 7.
