A South Carolina couple pleaded innocent today in Glendale to charges of torturing and murdering a Domino’s Pizza delivery man, then robbing the Glendale pizza parlor where he worked and trying to kill two workers there.

Mitchell Carlton Sims, 25, also charged with the murders of two Domino’s employees in South Carolina, and his girlfriend, Ruby Padgett, 20, pleaded innocent before Municipal Court Judge J.D. Smith. The couple is charged with the murder of deliveryman John S. Harrigan Dec. 9 and with three allegations of special circumstances--torture, lying in wait and murder during a robbery--which means they could receive the death penalty if convicted.
