Reward Posted in Campus Slashing
UCLA Chancellor Charles E. Young and the parents of a 21-year-old senior whose throat was slashed during the Dec. 27 robbery of the campus Guest House have joined to offer a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of her attackers.
The young woman, a clerk at the guest house, had her throat slashed with the jagged edge of a broken vase and was nearly strangled with an electrical cord during the robbery, which netted $2,800 in cash and travelers checks. She has now been released from the hospital.
Anyone with information about the crime should contact campus police detectives at (213) 825-9371.
