Lucky Lucky Lucky, in foal to the highly prized stallion Northern Dancer, brought a record $3 million in the opening day of a sale at Keeneland at Lexington, Ky.

Lucky Lucky Lucky, who two years ago beat Miss Oceana in the Kentucky Oaks but later lost to the eventual Eclipse Award winner, topped the previous record price of $2.5 million set at the January sale in 1983.
